2021 First half Fall Semester Academic Operation notice

(Message from the President about Fall 2021 Academic Operations)

 

As confirmed COVID-19 cases escalate and the government implements social distancing phase 4 from July 12 until August 8, the latest CAU Academic Board meeting was held and determined academic operations plan for the first half of 2021 fall semester.

 

1. Operation Schedule

1) Sep 1(Wed) ~ Oct 26(Tue), 2021, phase 3

2) Academic operations guideline for latter half of 2021 fall semester is to be notified in late September.

The direction of academic operations may be changed depending on the government¡¯s social distancing measures along with the plan for college student vaccination.

 

2. Guidelines on Academic Operations

1) All of the undergraduate theory classes should be offered remotely.

2) Lab experiment or practice-based ones may be offered in person subject to approval of the dean.

3) Graduate classes may be conducted in person subject to approval of the dean.

 

3. Other

Students will be evaluated using an absolute grading scale, and grades for retaken courses can be awarded up to A grade regardless of the year of admission.

¨ç Operation of ¡°Information Booth for Seoul International Student ' at Incheon International Airport

Implementation period: 2021.2.–2021.12.  ¡Ø Early termination may be caused by inbound trend of international students.

Place: Incheon Airport Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 (Terminal 1: Near Gate D, Terminal 2: Operated from August to September)

Contents: Response to quarantine inquiries such as guidance to the health center and inspection method (foreign languages speaking staff will be available)

 

¨è Operation of temporary living facilities exclusively for international students

Implementation period: 2021.7.-2021.9 ¡Ø Changes may be caused by the quarantine regulations and admission demand

- Expense: 910,000 won (65,000 won per day, meals are not included)
