The department of English language and literature, Chung-Ang University Seoul, Korea offers a variety of programs to meet international students' personal and professional goals for English Storytelling expert.
The department of English language and literature aims at realizing the educational motto of Chung-Ang University: Die in Honor, Live for Truth. Specifically, the Department is designed to train students to do their own research independently by offering in-depth programs in the areas of English Linguistics, English Literature and English storytelling.
English Language offers courses in theoretical linguistics including syntax, semantics, morphology and phonology/phonetics and in applied linguistics including language acquisition, corpus linguistics, and computational linguistics.
English Literature offers courses in poetry, novels, and other literary genres.
English Storytelling offers theory and practice in Storytelling, Storytelling and Healing, Storytelling Contents, Storytelling and Identity, Contents Development. Students of the field are expected to analyze and critically review works of these areas, thereby broadening their understanding of the field.
A candidate who submits thesis in the field other than above subjects take a comprehensive examination on two of the given areas and one on his or her major.
