Announcement of
Punishment
for Violation of
Regulations during the Examination
In
the event of any violation of regulations during the current midterm exam,
regardless of the reason, we would like to inform all students that the
principle of zero-tolerance will be applied and the following measures will
be taken. Therefore, we kindly ask all students to take caution and avoid any
act of violation.
¡à Types of Violation (applicable to both
offline and online exams)
1.
Stealing or showing others' answer sheets
2.
Stealing notes, textbooks, memos, or any other reference materials
3.
Forcing others to show their answer sheets
4.
Mutual consultation between examinees
5.
Possessing leaked exam questions on a note
6.
Writing on desks, book holders, or any other surface
7.
Altering answer sheets or question papers by writing on them
8.
Bringing externally-prepared answer sheets into the exam room
9.
Taking a test on someone else's behalf or requesting someone else to do so
10.
Disobeying or resisting exam supervisors' instructions
11.
Other forms of violation
¡à Measures taken against violation
Upon
detection of any violation, relevant academic consequences will be enforced
(e.g. failure in the course, failure in all courses of the day, or failure in
all courses of the semester), followed by disciplinary measures (e.g.
warning, suspension, expulsion) if the case is serious enough.
Disciplinary measures may result in ineligibility for various
scholarships until graduation.
¡à Procedure for Punishment of Violators
Upon
detection of any violation, an investigation will be conducted to confirm the
fact ¡æ The faculty council of
the relevant college will deliberate on the case, and the university
disciplinary committee will be convened, depending on the severity of the
case, to decide on the appropriate punishment.
In
addition, using any software unrelated to the exam during an online exam may
be considered as an act of violation. Therefore, please make sure to close
all messenger programs and any other software before taking the exam.
We
would like to emphasize again that we will strictly enforce the
zero-tolerance principle against any violation during the current exam. We
kindly request all students to be more vigilant and avoid any act of
violation.
