국제처, 2023학년도 1학기 초청 교환·방문학생 오리엔테이션 개최
Spring 2023 Orientation Provided to Exchange and Visiting Students by the Office of International Affairs
국제처가 주관한 교환·방문학생 오리엔테이션이 2월 28일 301관 중앙아트홀에서 개최됐다.
The Office of International Affairs held an orientation for exchange and visiting students in the first semester of 2023. The orientation was held at the Central Art Hall in Building 301 (Seoul Campus) on February 28th.
이번 행사는 우리 대학을 찾은 교환·방문학생들에게 환영의 뜻을 전하고, 빠른 적응을 돕기 위해 마련된 것이다. 2023학년도 1학기 기준 우리 대학에서 함께 공부하는 교환·방문학생 수는 46개국 400여 명에 달한다.
Exchange and visiting students were welcomed and information was provided to help the students adapt to life in Korea smoothly. During the first semester of 2023, over 400 exchange and visiting students from 46 countries are studying at our university.
이날 행사는 국제처장의 환영사를 시작으로 학사안내, 동작경찰서의 범죄예방 교육 순서로 진행됐다. 외국인 학생들이 우리나라에서 빠르게 적응할 수 있도록 돕는 데 주안점을 뒀다.
Starting with a welcome speech by the Head of the Office of International Affairs, the event included academic guidance and crime prevention education provided by the Dongjak Police Station. The main goal of the event was to help foreign students adapt to living in Korea.
권형일 국제처장은 “중앙대학교에 온 것을 환영한다. 열린 마음으로 한국의 문화를 즐겨주길 바란다. 국제처는 그 무엇보다도 우리 학생들의 안전을 우선시할 것”이란 환영사를 학생들에게 전했다.
Vice Provost of Office of International Affairs Kwon Hyung-il said to the students, "Welcome to Chung-Ang University.
I hope you enjoy Korean culture with an open mind. The Office of International Affairs will prioritize the safety of our students above all else.”
국제홍보대사 GLAM(Global Ambassador)은 자체 제작한 소개영상 방영과 캠퍼스 투어를 진행하며 학생들과 교류하는 시간을 가졌다. GLAM으로 활동 중인 글로벌금융학과 4학년 구나현 학생은 “교환학생들의 행복한 한국 생활을 응원하겠다”는 말을 남겼다.
GLAMs (Global Ambassadors) introduced themselves to the students by broadcasting self-produced welcome videos and conducting campus tours. Gu Nahyun, a GLAM who studies in the Department of Global Finance, said, "I will support the happy life of exchange students in Korea."
이번 행사에 참여한 소프트웨어학부 4학년 Antoine Jean William Desruet 학생은 “매우 유익한 오리엔테이션이었다. 중앙대에서의 한국 생활이 기대된다”고 소감을 전했다.

이번 학기에도 국제처와 GLAM은 우리 대학의 국제화에 힘쓸 예정이다. 글로벌 페어, 언어교환 프로그램 등 다양한 프로그램을 준비 중에 있다.
This semester, the Office of International Affairs and GLAM will continue to encourage the further development of our global community. Various programs, such as global fairs and language ex-change programs are currently being prepared for the exciting semester ahead.
