국제처 국제교류팀, 남호주대와 캠퍼스 투어 등 교류 행사 실시

Office of International Affairs Team Hosts Exchange Events and Campus Tours

우리 대학 국제처 국제교류팀이 협정교인 남호주대학교(University of South Australia) 학생들과 캠퍼스투어를 비롯한 교류 행사 시간을 가졌다. 

The Office of International Affairs (OIA) Team at our university recently hosted exchange events and campus tours for students from our partner institution, the University of South Australia. 

남호주대 비즈니스 전공 학생 22명이 19일 경영대학 이보람(Boram Lee) 교수와 벤 에반스(Ben Evans) 매니저(Program Services Manager)의 인솔 하에 우리 대학을 방문했다. 사회문화적 시각을 넓히기 위해 다른 문화권 학생과의 교류를 장려하는 남호주대 ‘New Columbo Plan’의 일환으로 우리나라 문화를 경험하고자 우리 대학을 찾은 것. 남호주대학은 2009년 우리 대학과 교환학생 협정을 맺어 현재까지 꾸준히 학생교류를 진행 중인 자매 대학이다. 

On September 19th, 22 business major students from the University of South Australia visited our university. The group was led by Professor Boram Lee and Program Services Manager Ben Evans. The visit was a part of the University of South Australia's "New Colombo Plan", encouraging participation in exchange programs to increase cross-cultural understanding. The University of South Australia and CAU began a student exchange program in 2009 that is still ongoing today. 

국제교류팀은 먼저 310관(100주년 기념관) 622호 강의실에서 설명회를 진행했다. 우리 대학의 상징과 역사, 학과·전공, 시설, 여름·겨울 학기 단기 프로그램을 비롯한 국제 교류 프로그램들이 상세히 안내됐다. 

The Office of International Affairs Team began the day with an orientation session (in Room 622 of Building 310 - Centennial Anniversary Building), providing detailed information about our university's history, departments, majors, facilities, and short-term international exchange programs for both the summer and winter sessions. 

이어 국제학생대사 글램(GLAM)이 주관하는 캠퍼스 투어가 진행됐다. 남호주대학 학생들은 캠퍼스 투어 도중 방문한 310관 옥상 라운지에서 서울의 전경을 한눈에 담아보는 경험을 할 수 있어 뜻깊었다는 소감을 남겼다. 

Following the orientation, a campus tour led by our Global Ambassadors (GLAM). The first stop of the tour was the rooftop lounge of Building 310 where the University of South Australia students saw a panoramic view of Seoul. The view from our campus is so spectacular that many of the visiting students agreed it was a memorable experience visiting this special location on our campus. 

같은 기간 진행된 서울캠퍼스 가을문화제 ‘Magic Hour’의 거리 부스를 둘러보는 시간도 가졌다. 한 남호주대 학생은 “다양한 스포츠 동아리가 존재하는 것이 너무 좋다. 배드민턴 동아리에 들어가서 친구들을 만나고 싶다”고 말하기도 했다. 

The University of South Australia’s visit coincided with the timing of CAU’s "Magic Hour" Fall Cultural Festival. The visiting students explored the street booths of the festival and took photos with our university mascot. One of the University of South Australia students expressed their enthusiasm for the Fall Festival, explaining, "It's great to see a variety of sports clubs available. I'd like to join the badminton club and meet new friends." 

벤 에반스 매니저는 “청룡상이 세워진 배경이 매우 흥미롭다. 청룡 연못과 같은 상징적인 장소가 캠퍼스 내에 있다는 것이 자랑스러울 것 같다”며 우리 대학의 상징인 청룡에 대해 큰 관심을 나타냈다. 

University of South Australia Manager Ben Evans showed particular interest in our university's symbol, the Blue Dragon, saying, "The background behind the Blue Dragon statue is very intriguing. It must be a source of pride to have iconic locations like the Blue Dragon Pond on campus." 

이날 우리 대학을 방문한 남호주대는 호주 South Australia(SA) 주 애들레이드(Adelaide)에 위치한 공립 종합대학이다. SA 주에서 가장 규모가 클 뿐만 아니라 2024 QS 세계대학순위 326위를 기록한 명문 대학이다. 교육, 예술, 사회과학부, 건강과학학부, 경영학부, 정보기술, 공학, 환경학부 등 다양한 학부 과정을 제공하고 있다. 또한, 해외 기업들과의 협력을 통해 학생들의 해외 인턴십과 실습 기회를 제공함으로써 전 세계적인 경험과 지식을 함양할 수 있는 서포터 역할을 수행하고 있다. 

The University of South Australia is a public university located in Adelaide, South Australia. The university is the largest in South Australia and is a very prestigious institution, ranked 326th in the 2024 QS World University Rankings. The university offers a diverse range of undergraduate programs in fields such as education, arts, social sciences, health sciences, business, information technology, engineering, and environmental studies. The staff at the University of South Australia encourages students to expand their global experiences and knowledge of the world. For example, through partnerships with international companies, the University of South Australia provides the opportunity for their students to participate in internships and practical training worldwide. 

국제교류팀 관계자는 “이번 방문 행사를 통해서 양교 간 더욱 활발한 국제 교류활동이 이루어지길 기대한다”고 전했다. 

A representative from the CAU Office of International Affairs Team expressed their hope to encourage more international exchange programming between the two universities through this visit.
