Economic Essay Contest for University Students

1. Purpose of Contests

- To help students better understand the economy and finance and improve their English writing skills.

2. Participation Method

- Please choose one of the topics below:

★ Topic 1

Foreigners have become an indispensable part of Korean society and their ratio is expected to continue to surge. 

Suggest tips for the banking industry to attract and better serve foreign customers.

★ Topic 2

One of the Korean stock market's chronic problems is the so-called Korea discount, referring to along-standing tendency of listed companies' undervaluation compared to their fundamentals. 

Please discuss your assessment of the issue and suggest effective measures that can provide a solution to the situation.

- Applicants should submit an 800-word essay in newspaper column style on one of the designated topics below.

- Personal information is necessary, including name, nationality, school major, email address and phone number.

- Two Grand Awards: 3 million won and an award plaque

- Two Runner-up Awards:2 million won and an award plaque
