The ‘CAU Global Fair,’ that exchange students studying at our university promote their home university, country, and culture and interact with Korean students, has been successfully completed.
‘2024 Spring Semester CAU Global Fair’ event was held at the in front of bldg 310 our university (100th Anniversary Memorial Hall) and the football field for May 9th to 10th.
The "CAU Global Fair" is a event for cultural exchanges created by exchange students with the support of the Office of International Affair (OIA) every semester. Exchange students can experience the cultures of various countries through events to introduce their home university, country, and culture. This leads to interest in the exchange student program, which has the effect of enhancing the global capabilities of our university students.
The theme of the event was "OUR-LYMPIC". 200 exchange students from more than 100 universities in 35 countries participated in the event.
Through this event, various events such as booths introducing each country, stage games, and counseling booths organized by the Office of International Affair (OIA) were held.
On the first day, a stage game was held where both enrolled and exchange students could participate. The Bul-dak Challenge, which eats spicy chicken noodles the fastest, and the Tongue Twitter event, which reads English sentences with strict pronunciation, attracted the attention of many students.
On the second day, 'Blooming Day', sports competition for exchange students took place. In addition, exchange students from Hanyang University participated. It was great opportunity for exchange students from CAU and HYU to get closer through sports activities.
Through counseling booths the OIA and exchange students' booths, students' interest in exchange student programs was confirmed, and questions were answered.
The entire process of 'Global Fair' was operated by the Global Ambassador (GLAM). GLAM has planned and operated various events to promote interchanges between Korean students and exchange students at our university and to spread global culture in our university.
President Sang-kyu Park visited the venue on the second day to communicate with students. He experienced booths operated by exchange students and visited the "Blooming Day" to cheer up the students.
President Sang-kyu Park said, "I'm glad that our university and Hanyang University exchange students seem to be enjoying the exchange. I hope you have a new and many experiences at our university"
