국제처 국제교류팀이 최근 네덜란드 로테르담 Ahoy 센터에서 개최된 ‘EAIE 유럽국제교류자 박람회’에 참가했다. 

The Office of International Affairs exchange program team recently participated in the EAIE (European Association for International Education) Exhibition held at Rotterdam’s Ahoy Center in the Netherlands. 

지난달 25일부터 이달 1일까지 진행된 EAIE(European Association for International Education) 박람회는 전 세계 60개국에서 온 4800여 명의 참가자가 몰리며 성황리에 진행됐다. 

The EAIE exhibition was held from September 25th to October 1st. Over 4,800 participants from 60 countries across the globe attended the event. 

이번 박람회에는 신중범 팀장을 비롯해 이재인 주임과 이선호 직원 등 국제처 국제교류팀 구성원들이 참가했다. 이들은 박람회 내에 단독 홍보부스를 설치해 해외 대학들에 우리 대학을 널리 알리는 데 집중했다. 

CAU’s Office of International Affairs exchange program team, including team leader J.B. Shin, chief Jae-in Lee, and staff member Seon-ho Lee, set up a booth at the exhibition to promote our university to international institutions. 

새로운 국제교류 프로그램을 개발하기 위한 해외 대학들과의 미팅도 함께 진행됐다. ▲핀란드 Aalto University(QS랭킹 109위, 이하 QS랭킹 생략) ▲덴마크 Aarhus University(143위) ▲네덜란드 University of Groningen(139위) ▲홍콩 The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology(60위) 등 30개 해외 대학과 신규협정을 논의했고, 일부 대학과는 협정 체결 절차를 진행 중이다. 

During the event, meetings were also held with universities from across the globe to encourage the development of new international exchange programs. New exchange agreement plans were discussed with 30 universities, including Finland's Aalto University (109th in QS Ranking), Denmark's Aarhus University (143rd in QS Ranking), the Netherlands' University of Groningen (139th in QS Ranking), and Hong Kong's The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (60th in QS Ranking).  

긴밀한 협력관계를 구축하고 있는 해외 자매대학 6개교도 이번 박람회를 통해 만났다. ▲벨기에 KU Leuven(61위) ▲독일 Freie Universität Berlin(98위) ▲네덜란드 University of Twente(371위) 등과 기존 국제교류 현황을 점검하고, 협정 갱신과 교류 확대 방안을 논의하는 시간을 가졌다. 

Our OIA staff also met with six partner universities that our university already has strong, ongoing exchange programs with including Belgium's KU Leuven (61st in QS Ranking), Germany's Freie Universität Berlin (98th in QS Ranking), and the Netherlands' University of Twente (371st in QS Ranking). During these meetings, the current international exchange program agreements were reviewed and discussions on renewing agreements and expanding collaborative programming were held. 

국제교류팀 관계자는 “이번 박람회 참가를 통해 북유럽 주요 대학을 중심으로 신규협정을 확대하는 계기를 마련했다. 우리 대학 재학생들의 파견교환 선택지를 늘리고, 기존 자매대학 교류 프로그램을 확대하는 효과가 있을 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다. 

A representative from the CAU Office of International Affairs stated, "Through our participation in this exhibition, we have created an opportunity to expand new agreements, particularly with major universities in Northern Europe. We anticipate that this will increase the options for our university's current students to study abroad and expand our existing partner university exchange programs."
