On the 5th of this month, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) Team held an admission information session for Vietnamese students who are enrolled in Korean language classes at our university's Institute of Language Education. 

이번 행사는 우리 대학에서 한국어를 배우고 있는 베트남 학생들이 학위과정으로 진학할 수 있는 기회를 넓히고자 기획된 것이다. 언어교육원의 협조를 통해 설명회가 열릴 수 있게 됐다. 

The goal of the admission information session event was to expand the opportunities available to Vietnamese students currently studying the Korean language at our university in order to pursue higher education. The event was hosted by Chung-Ang University’s Institute of Language Education and Office of International Affairs. 

국제교류팀은 이날 설명회를 통해 우리 대학의 국제화 현황과 외국인 유학생 전공 관리 프로그램을 소개했다. 국제처에서 구축한 입학-교육-취업으로 이어지는 전주기 관리 체계에 대한 설명도 함께 이뤄졌다. 

The event began with an introduction of our university’s current international network with other higher education institutions across the globe and plans to expand in the future. Then, the foreign student major management program was explained in detail. Through the program, the Office of International Affairs guides students through the CAU admissions process, the higher education system, and the job search to ensure employment after graduation. 

설명회 참가 학생들과 베트남어를 통한 개별 상담도 진행했다. 우리 대학의 학과·전공을 소개하고 입시절차를 안내하는 시간이었다. 

Afterwards, one-on-one consultation sessions were held for the students in Vietnamese. Students were able to learn more in-depth about our university’s departments, majors, and admission procedures based on their personal academic and professional goals through the consultation sessions. 

설명회에 참석한 짠투안하이 학생은 “진로에 대해 다시 한번 생각할 수 있는 중요한 계기가 됐다. 그동안 중앙대를 입학하기 어려운 대학으로만 알고 있었는데, 베트남 학생들에게 많은 기회가 열려있다는 것을 알게 됐다”고 소감을 전했다. 

One of the Vietnamese students who attended the information session expressed their appreciation, saying, "This was an important opportunity for me to reconsider my career path. At first, I only knew that it is very difficult to be admitted to Chung-Ang University, but now I've learned that there are many opportunities for Vietnamese students."
