Greetings from the School of International Education of the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL)!

We are pleased to announce that the School of International Education will host a 15-day summer camp in July 2025, focusing on the theme "Comparative Study of Chinese and Foreign Laws." The program will feature a diverse range of activities including lectures, field visits, seminars and cultural visits.

The summer camp welcomes both law major students and scholars who are interested in getting a basic understanding about Chinese laws and its recent developments, and exploring possible future academic exchange and cooperation with Chinese counterparts.

Lectures will be given in English by renowned scholars on Chinese Laws from a comparative perspective, for example, the features of Chinese laws, their borrowings and references from foreign laws(either continental law or common law), their development and recent practices and the possible contribution and enlightenment to the worldwide rule of law.

Field visits will be arranged to the legislature or adjudication organs, state administrations, enterprises，high-tech parks, law firms. They will give basic introduction to their functions and reply the interested problems put forwarded by the foreign participants.

There will be 2 seminars for the participants to exchange their understanding about Chinese laws or their own countries’ legal theory or legal practices which they think will be worthy of borrowing in China.

The estimated participation fee is around USD 2,000 per person, covering tuition, on campus dormitory accommodation, local transportation for arranged field visits and cultural visits.
