Train the Trainer ONLINE and Get a Micro-credential at Lakehead University 🇨🇦 English Language Centre
English has become the universal language for communication in various fields, such as education, business, and technology. Consequently, the demand for the mastery of this language for various purposes, namely for everyday communication, communication for technical purposes, for research publication purposes and/or networking in academic contexts, has significantly increased. However, teaching English to non-native speakers or using it in the previous contexts can be challenging as it requires specialized knowledge and abilities to facilitate an environment that allows learners to successfully develop their language skills and/or effectively communicate in different settings.
To this end, there are 3 different Train the Trainer courses which learners can choose from: Teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), and Intensive English Program for Professionals (IEPP).
1.Teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL): Target Audience ¢¸CLICK

2.Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL): Target Audience ¢¸CLICK
¡ÜTeachers and educators interested in incorporating CLIL into their teaching practices
¡ÜLanguage instructors seeking to enhance language proficiency through subject-based content
¡ÜCurriculum developers and educational leaders exploring innovative pedagogical approaches
¡ÜAnyone interested in gaining a deeper understanding of CLIL and its impact on education.
3.Intensive English Program for Professionals (IEPP): Target Audience ¢¸CLICK
¡ÜProfessionals from diverse industries aiming to enhance their English language skills
¡ÜBusiness executives, managers, and team leaders seeking effective global communication
¡ÜInternational students and expatriates preparing for English-speaking work environments

4 hours/week synchronous + 3 hours/week asynchronous

Earn a Micro-credential
Participants will receive a Micro Credential Certificate from the Lakehead University¡¯s English Language Centre and Community Zone. Micro-credentials provide a pathway for students to acquire targeted skills, enhance their employability, and demonstrate their expertise in specific areas. Participants will be able to use this certificate to demonstrate the value of a program supported by a nationally recognized Canadian university.
