[2023 Visit to Hungary Continued] Collaborative Strategy Discussed with Hungarian Partner Universities, President Park Sang-gyu, and a Delegation from our University
박상규 총장을 비롯한 우리 대학 대표단이 7월 13일부터 20일까지 진행된 헝가리순방 기간 동안 헝가리 자매대학들을 방문해 교류 협력 방안을 논의하고 캠퍼스를 둘러보는 시간을 가졌다.
During the trip to Hungary from July 13th to 20th, President Park Sang-gyu and representatives from our university visited partner universities to discuss collaboration planning and tour the campuses.
7월 14일 박상규 총장, 김세일 사회교육처장, 권형일 국체처장, 신중범 국제교류팀장이 헝가리 MOME(Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design)를 방문했다. 실무 경험 중심 교육으로 예술 디자인 분야에서 특히 명성이 높은 MOME의 ózsef Fülöp 총장, Györgyi FALVAI 국제처장이 우리 대학 대표단을 반갑게 맞이했다.
On July 14th, Park Sang-Gue (President of CAU), Dr. Kim Se-il (Office of Extended Learning), Dr. Kwon Hyung-il (Vice Provost of International Affairs), and Dr. JB Shin (Director of the Office of International Affairs) visited the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) in Hungary. They were warmly welcomed by MOME's President József Fülöp and International Director Györgyi Falvai, both renowned figures in the field of art and design education, known especially for their practical experience-centered approach.
우리 대학과 MOME는 활발한 학생교류 협력을 위해 우리 대학을 찾는 MOME 소속 초청 교환학생에게 우리 대학 학교기업 인턴십을 제공하고, 반대로 우리 대학에서 MOME로 파견가는 교환학생에게도 인턴십을 제공하는 방안을 함께 모색하기로 했다. 우리 대학이 강점을 가진 예술대학을 기반으로 사진학과를 비롯한 예술계열 학문 단위 협력도 강화하기로 합의했다.
Our university and MOME collectively decided to enhance student exchange collaborative efforts by offering internship opportunities at our university to exchange students from MOME while they study in Korea. MOME will also provide internships to our students while they are studying through the exchange program in Hungary. Additionally, CAU and MOME agreed to strengthen the partnerships between both universities, which excels in art education, and MOME, which excels in various disciplines within the arts including photography.
이어 대표단은 MOME 캠퍼스 내 건물들과 Technology Park, 연구실 등을 차례대로 둘러봤다. Csaba Bogdán Head of the Technology Park와 Lasma Ivaska Director of the Innovation Center가 각종 시설물과 수업 장비, 연구실 내부 등을 소개했다.
After the discussion, the delegation from our university toured various buildings and facilities on the MOME campus, including the Technology Park and research labs. Csaba Bogdán, Head of the Technology Park, and Lasma Ivaska, Director of the Innovation Center, guided the CAU delegation to see the facilities, equipment, and interior of the research labs at MOME.
József Fülöp MOME 총장은 우리 대학 대표단의 MOME 캠퍼스 방문에 고마움을 표하며, 2시간 동안 진행된 캠퍼스 투어를 통해 직접 캠퍼스를 소개했다.
József Fülöp, President of MOME, expressed his gratitude for our university's visit to the MOME campus and personally guided the CAU delegation on a 2-hour campus tour.
József Fülöp 총장은 “중앙대학교 예술대학의 명성이 높다는 것을 잘 알고 있다. 양교 모두 예술 분야가 강점인 만큼 앞으로도 지속적인 협력과 다양한 프로젝트를 함께 하는 긴밀한 파트너십을 만들었으면 좋겠다”고 전했다.
MOME President József Fülöp stated, "We are all well aware of the high reputation of Chung-Ang University's College of Arts. Given the strengths of both institutions in the field of the arts, I hope that we can establish a close partnership for continued collaboration in the future."
대표단은 MOME 방문에 이어 17일 헝가리에서 두 번째로 큰 공과대학인 ÓU(Óbuda University)를 찾았다. ÓU는 3개 도시에 5개 캠퍼스를 보유하고 있는 대규모 대학으로 우리 대학 대표단은 메인 캠퍼스인 부다페스트 캠퍼스를 방문했다.
Following the visit to MOME, on July 17th, the CAU delegation visited Óbuda University (ÓU). ÓU is the second-largest technical university in Hungary, expanding across five separate campuses in three cities. The CAU delegation visited ÓU’s main campus in Budapest.
박상규 총장은 이날 Levente Kovács 총장, Imre Felde 부총장, Erzsébet Veres Head of International Education, Viktoria Tafferner Head of International Relations 등 ÓU 주요 관계자와 미팅을 가졌다.
President Park Sang-Gue held meetings with the head representatives of ÓU, including President Levente Kovács, Vice President Imre Felde, Head of International Education Erzsébet Veres, and Head of International Relations Viktoria Tafferner.
우리 대학은 향후 ÓU와 활발한 학생교류에 나서기 위해 교환학생 프로그램을 활성화하기로 했다. 또한, 양교 대학원에 합격한 학생 가운데 추천을 받은 1인에게 장학금을 제공하는 프로그램도 진행하기로 합의했다.
Our university worked with ÓU to establish an active student exchange program. Additionally, an agreement was reached to provide scholarships to one graduate student recommended by each university while studying at the partner institution.
박상규 총장은 “이번 방문을 통해 오부다 대학(ÓU)의 역사와 강점에 대해 잘 알게 됐다”며, “이번 방문이 학생·연구 교류의 첫걸음이 될 수 있기를 희망한다. 좋은 성과를 낼 수 있도록 중앙대도 함께 노력하겠다”고 했다.
President Park Sang-Gue stated, "Through this visit, I have gained a good understanding of Óbuda University's history and strengths. I hope this visit can be the first step in student and research exchange. We will work together with Chung-Ang University to achieve positive outcomes."
이번 자매 대학 방문은 지난해 헝가리 문화혁신부의 초청을 받아 헝가리를 방문한 자리에서 박상규 총장이 헝가리 주요 6개 대학과 체결한 학생교류-연구협력 협정에 기반한 것이다. 보다 실질적인 협력 방안을 논의하기 위해 헝가리순방 기간 동안 자매대학 방문도 함께 진행하게 됐다.
The trip to Hungarian partner universities this July was inspired by the student exchange and research collaboration agreement signed last year between President Park Sang-Gue and six major Hungarian universities during his visit to Hungary at the invitation of the Hungarian Ministry of Cultural Innovation. Overall, our CAU delegation visited Hungarian partner universities in order to discuss more collaboration opportunities for the future.
우리 대학 방문단은 자매 대학 방문에 이어 해외 취업을 통해 헝가리에서 근무 중인 우리 대학 경영학과, 화학과 동문을 초청해 이야기를 나누는 자리도 마련했다. 박상규 총장은 동문들에게 헝가리 내 모교의 위상 제고를 위해 노력해 줄 것을 당부했다. 헝가리에 진출해 있는 한국기업들을 돕기 위해 우리 대학의 동문 파워를 한 데 모으자는 얘기도 덧붙였다.
In addition to the partner university visits, the CAU delegation also arranged a meeting with alumni from our university's Business and Chemistry departments who are now working in Hungary through overseas employment. President Park Sang-Gue encouraged these alumni to elevate the reputation of CAU in Hungary. He also expressed the impact of harnessing the collective power of our university's alumni to support Korean companies operating in Hungary.
