‘2023학년도 1학기 초청 교환·방문학생 수료식’ 열려

2023 Farewell Ceremony for Spring Semester Exchange and Visiting Students

21일 ‘2023학년도 1학기 초청 교환·방문학생 수료식’이 301관(중앙문화예술관) 중앙아트홀에서 개최됐다. 

On the 21st of this month, the '2023 Spring Semester Exchange and Visiting Student Farewell Ceremony' took place at the Central Art Hall in Building 301 (Central Cultural Arts Center) of our Seoul campus.

국제처가 주관한 이번 수료식은 2023학년도 1학기를 우리 대학에서 보낸 외국인 교환학생 400여 명의 수료를 축하하기 위해 열린 행사다. 

Organized by the Office of International Affairs, the farewell ceremony was held to celebrate the graduation of over 400 foreign exchange students who spent the 2023 spring semester at our university.

신중범 국제교류팀장의 축사로 시작된 수료식은 국제홍보대사 글램(GLAM)이 제작한 글로벌 페어 동영상 상영, 교환학생 대표 수료자 소감 발표, 수료증 전달, 퀴즈, 기념 촬영 순서로 진행됐다. 

The ceremony began with a congratulatory speech by J.B Shin, the Head of the Office of International Affairs, followed by a global fair video produced by the Global Ambassadors (GLAM), speeches by representative students who completed the exchange program, certificate presentations, a quiz, and commemorative photo taking.

교환학생 대표 연설은 미국 샌프란시스코 주립대(San Francisco State University)에서 온 Breeane Gonzales 학생이 맡았다. “교환학생 프로그램을 통해 잊지 못할 추억을 많이 쌓았다. 한국 생활이 많이 그리울 것 같았다”는 소감이 전달됐다. 

The representative exchange student speech was delivered by Breeane Gonzales from San Francisco State University in the United States. She expressed, "Through the exchange student program, I've accumulated countless unforgettable memories. I will miss life in Korea a lot."

현재 우리 대학은 언어교환 멘토인 GSI(Global Student Internship) 제도를 운영하고 있다. GSI 대표를 맡고있는 영국 센트럴 랭커셔대(The Univerisity of Central Lancashire) Camille Amatorio-Lagman 학생은 “GSI로 활동하며 다양한 나라에서 온 친구들을 만날 수 있는 기회를 얻게 돼 행복했다”고 했다. 

Currently, our university organizes the Global Student Internship (GSI) program, which serves as a language exchange mentorship system. Camille Amatorio-Lagman, a student from the University of Central Lancashire in the UK who serves as the GSI representative, stated, "I was happy to have the opportunity to meet friends from various countries through GSI."

신중범 팀장은 “중앙대가 여러분의 여정과 성장에 함께 할 수 있게 돼 기쁘다. 교환 학생 생활을 성공적으로 마친 것을 축하한다. 교실 너머에 있는 경험까지 제공한 교환학생 생활을 통해 얻은 지식과 경험이 앞으로의 걸음에 든든한 밑거름이 되길 바란다”고 전했다. 

The Head of the Office of International Affairs, Dr. JB Shin, conveyed, "I am delighted that Chung-Ang University could be a part of your journey and growth. Congratulations on successfully completing your exchange student experience. I hope that the knowledge and experiences gained from your exchange student life, extending beyond the classroom, will serve as a solid foundation for your future steps in life."
