우리 대학 국제처 국제교류팀이 국제여름학기를 홍보하고, 참가 학생을 유치하기 위해 9일부터 12일까지 4일간 홍콩과 마카오의 자매교를 방문했다.

국제교류팀 이동영 주임과 이재인 주임으로 구성된 방문단은 먼저 우리 대학 자매교인 Education University of Hong Kong을 방문했다. 국제여름학기 프로그램을 홍보하고, 학생교류 프로그램에 대해 논의하는 시간을 가지기 위해서다. 이어 Hang Seng University of Hong Kong 학생들을 위해 국제여름학기 설명회를 실시하고, Q&A 시간을 진행하기도 했다.

Ms. Young-young Lee and Ms. Jain Rhee, from the CAU Office of International Affairs(OIA) staff, first visited CAU’s partner university, the Education University of Hong Kong. The purpose of this visit was to promote the International Summer Session Program and discuss future student exchange programming. At Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, the CAU staff presented at an information session and allowed time at the end to answer questions from the students interested in studying at CAU.

다음 목적지는 Hong Kong Baptist University와 Macao Institute for Tourism Studies였다. 방문단은 국제여름학기 홍보 외에도 학생교류 프로그램 다양화 방안에 대해 논의하며, 홍콩과 마카오 지역 교류 확장 계기를 마련하는 자리를 가졌다. 

Next, the CAU staff promoted the international summer session and discussed diversification strategies for student exchange programming at Hong Kong Baptist University and Macao Institute for Tourism Studies. All in all, the CAU Office of International Affairs aims to expand student exchanges in the Hong Kong and Macau regions.

국제처 관계자는 “이번 출장은 홍콩·마카오 지역의 우리 나라 대학에 대한 수요 증가를 확인하는 계기가 됐다. 향후 국제여름학기 학생 유치와 국제교류 프로그램 활성화에 긍정적인 결과가 있을 것이라 기대하고 있다”고 전했다. 

한편, 2023학년도 국제여름학기는 올해 6월부터 8월까지 서울캠퍼스에서 진행된다. 영국, 프랑스, 일본 등 다양한 국가의 학생들이 참가할 예정이다. 

The 2023 International Summer Session will take place from June to August at CAU’s Seoul campus. Students from all across the globe, including the UK, France, and Japan are expected to participate in the program.
