헝가리 외트뵈시 로란드 대학교(Eötvös Loránd University, 이하 ELTE) 대표단이 3월 6일 우리 대학을 방문했다. 우리 대학과 ELTE가 진행할 학생교류·공동연구 등 협력 방안에 대한 논의를 진행하기 위해서다.
A representative from Hungary's Ötvös Loránd University (ELTE) visited Chung-Ang Uni-versity on March 6th. The goal of the meeting was to discuss ways for our universities to col-laborate in the future, including student exchanges and joint research.
ELTE의 우리 대학 방문 일정은 201관(본관) 3층 총장단 회의실과 310관(100주년 기념관) 815호에서 ▲차담회 ▲사진촬영 ▲AI학과 소개 및 간담회 ▲오찬회 순으로 진행됐다.
ELTE University’s visit was organized as follows:
The schedule began with a meeting in the President's Office on the 3rd floor of the Main Building (Building 201) at CAU’s Seoul campus. Afterwards, a reception and photo session were held in Room 815 of Centennial Building (Building 310). The following meeting included an introduction to the Department of AI, along with a networking session. Finally, a lunch reception was held.
이날 László Borhy 총장을 비롯해 Zoltán Dubéczi 사무총장, Gyula Scheurer 재무장관, Imre Hamar 국제사무부총장 등 많은 ELTE 관계자들이 우리 대학을 찾았다. 박상규 총장과 백준기 교학부총장, 이산호 행정부총장, 권형일 국제처장, 이재성 AI학과장 등 우리 대학 관계자들이 외빈들을 맞이했다.
Many ELTE representatives, including Rector László Borhy, Secretary-General Zoltán Dubéczi, Treasurer Gyula Scheurer, and Vice Rector for International Affairs Imre Hamar visited our university. Our university representatives, including President Sang-Kyu Park, Vice President for Academic Affairs Jun-Ki Baek, Vice President of Administration San-Ho Lee, Vice Provost of the Office of International Affairs Hyung-Il Kwon, and Head of the De-partment of AI Jae-Sung Lee welcomed the guests.
이날 ELTE 대표단은 이재성 AI학과장으로부터 AI대학원 관련 브리핑을 듣는 시간을 가졌다. 이 학과장은 우리 대학이 채택한 AI기술과 AI대학원의 구성원, 연구과목 및 분야 등을 대표단에게 소개했다.
During the visit, the ELTE delegation had the opportunity to receive a briefing from Jae-Sung Lee, the Head of the Department of AI, regarding our university's AI graduate program. The professor provided an overview of the AI technologies used by our institution, the structure of the AI graduate program, as well as the research subjects and fields covered within the program.
현재 우리 대학이 AI대학원생들에게 지원하는 회의 및 워크샵, 계절학기와 같은 프로그램들은 물론 엔씨소프트 등 다양한 기업과 넓은 분야에서 협업할 수 있는 인턴십 기회 등에 대한 설명도 함께 이뤄졌다.
During the visit, Chung-Ang University also provided an overview of the various programs offered to support AI graduate students. These programs include conferences, workshops, and summer/winter schools designed to develop their skills and knowledge in the field. Additionally, we highlighted the internship opportunities available with many innovative companies, including NCSoft. Our university emphasized the importance of these opportunities and how they can provide students with practical experience while promoting industry-academia partnerships.
László Borhy 총장은 “한국의 대학 산업을 알아보기 위해 방문했다. 중앙대학교가 ELTE에 연구교육 협업이란 좋은 기회를 주심에 감사드린다. 오늘의 회담과 교류를 통해 향후 다른 분야에서도 두 대학이 공유와 협업을 확대할 수 있길 기대한다”고 전했다.
Rector László Borhy expressed his purpose of the visit, stating, "I came here to explore the university-industry landscape in Korea. I am grateful to Chung-Ang University for providing us with this excellent opportunity for research and educational collaboration. Through today's meeting and exchange, I hope that our two universities can expand their sharing and collaboration in various fields in the future."
박상규 총장은 “오늘 방문을 계기로 ELTE와의 교류가 더욱 활발해지길 바란다. 이번 협력을 통해 두 대학이 보유한 데이터를 토대로 학생들에게 더 나은 연구와 학습이 이뤄지길 기대한다”고 했다.
President Sang-Gue Park expressed his hopes for increased collaboration and exchange with ELTE University following the visit. He stated, "I hope that this visit serves as an opportunity for further active engagement between our universities. Through this collaboration, we anticipate that students will benefit from enhanced research and learning opportunities, building upon the data resources available at both institutions."
